April 13th, '05: Almendares Farm Wins The Rob Sieber Memorial - In the finals of the US{A Intra Circuit/Rob Sieber Memorial Tournament, the Almendares Farm came from behind to tie the game with two seconds left in the sixth chukker and then won it with fifty eight seconds left in the overtime chukker. Gabriel Crespo led all scoring with eight goals, seven scored from the penalty line. The Detroit Blues led the entire game, and then watched their lead evaporate in the fateful sixth chukker. Collin McCosh led the Detroit Blues with five goals. This tournament ended the season at the Royal Palm Polo - Sports Club. April 3rd, ’05:  Flying Diamond Wins Kay Colee Finals – In an exciting, hard-fought game, the Flying Diamonds defeated BBS 12-7 to win the Kay Colee Memorial Finals.  BBS tied the game early in the fifth chukker, but Flying Diamond scored two more goals to retake the lead.  They extended their lead through the sixth chukker.  Horton Schwartz and Charley Cendoya scored five goals each with Mark Gutierrez contributing two.  Horton was also named MVP.  Toby Wayman’s horse, Rage, was named Best Playing Pony.

The Rob Sieber Memorial Tournament finals next week will end the Royal Palm Polo Sports season for 2005.

April 1, ’05: Flying Diamond Wins In Kay Colee – In the semi final game of the Kay Colee Memorial Tournament, the Flying Diamonds defeated Paragon Polo 15-7.  Flying Diamond took a three-goal lead in the first chukker and never looked back.  Horton Schwartz led the flying Diamonds with six goals, while teammates Charley Cendoya and Mark Gutierrez scored five and four goals.  The team captain, Anna Hancock, shut the back door.  The final game of this tournament will be Sunday at 3 PM.

March 27th, ’05: Peapacton Wins Monty Waterbury  - In the finals of the Monty Waterbury Cup the Peapacton Team defeated Total Body rehabilitation 12-8.  Peapacton took control early in the game and never relinquished their lead.  At the half, they led 9 to 2.  Ruben Sola led the scoring with five goals, while MacDonough and Price each contributed three.  Pablo MacDonough was named Most Valuable Player and Ruben Sola’s horse, Moncho, was named Best Playing Pony.

The Las Fajitas team defeated Paragon Polo by the score of 12 to 10 to win the finals of the USPA President’s Cup.  Sebastian Losauro led Las Fajitas with five goals, white teammate Luis Saraco added four. 

March 26th, ’05: Total Body Rehabilitation Goes To Finals – The Total body Rehab. Team defeated Bud Light 13-10 to earn a berth in the finals of the Monty Waterbury Cup against Peapacton.  Tiger Kneece led Total Body Rehab. With six goals.  Bud Light’s Brad Blake led all scoring with nine goals.  He finals will be on Sunday at 3:00 PM.

In an earlier Monty Waterbury game, GTP Polo defeated Peapacton in overtime 11-10.  Juan Bollini led GTP Polo with six goals, all scored from the penalty line.

Las Fajitas and Paragon in Finals – In a USPA President’s Cup game, Paragon Polo defeated the Flying Diamonds 13 – 9.  Marcos Bignoli led Paragon with nine goals which were all from the penalty line.

In a second game in the President’s cup, the Las Fajitas team scored two goals in the sixth chukker to defeat the Polo Player’s Edition team 10-8.  Luis Saraco led the team with five goals.

Paragon Polo and Las Fajitas meet in the finals on Sunday. 

March 21, ’05:  Bud Light Wins In Monty Waterbury – In a hard fought game in the Monty Waterbury Tournament Bud Light defeated GTP Polo 11-8.  The GTP Polo team led in the early chukkers, but Bud Light took over the lead before the half.  GTP Polo tied the game early in the fifth chukker, but Bud Light came back on top to stay.  Hector Galindo led Bud Light by scoring seven goals.  Brad Blake added two and Dawn Jones and Joey Casey each scored one.  Juan Bollini scored five for GTP Polo and Julio Astrada scored the other three.   The finals fo rhte Monty Waterbury are on Sunday.

March 20th, ’05:  Total Body Rehabilitation and Peapacton Win in Monty Waterbury. In an exciting game in the USPA Monty Waterbury tournament, the Total Body Rehab. Defeated GTP Polo in overtime 8-7.  Tiger Kneece scored the winning goal from the penalty line and was also the leading scorer with seven goals.

In the opening game of the USPA Monty Waterbury tournament, the Peapacton team defeated Bud Light 13-5.  Magoo LaPrida and Pablo MacDonough led the scoring with five goals each.

March 15th, 05: Riverview Wins The $25,000 International Cup - The Riverview Polo Team defeated Bud Light to win the $25,000 International Cup at the Royal Palm Polo-Sports Club. The score was tied after three goals, but Riverview took the lead in the fourth chukker and never let it go. The final score was 12-8. Agustin Merlos repeated his Sunday performance with eight goals and was named MVP. Merlos' third chukker horse, Chamarica, won Best Playing Pony. The Rivereview Team also received a check for $15,000. Not a bad day.

The Monty Waterbury Tournament begins at Royal Palm on Friday.

March 13th, 05: Riverview Wins in $25,000 International Cup – The Riverview Polo Team defeated GTP Polo by the score of 13 – 6.  Agustin Merlos was unstoppable as he scored eight goals to lead the Riverview team while teammate James Armstrong added four goals,  Orrin Ingram one and George Rawlings closed the back door.  Juan Bollini led GTP Polo with three goals all from the penalty line.  Riverview will play Bud Light in the finals of the $25,000 International Cup on Tuesday.

March 08, 05: Bud Light Wins Opening Game of $25,000 International Cup. Bud Light defeated Santa Clara 11 - 8 in the opening game of teh $25,000 International Cup. Bud Light received one goal by handicap and leaped to a 4 to 1 lead in the first chukker. They held the lead through the entire game leading by as many as 6 goals at one point. Brad Blake scored three goals while teammates Toby Wayman, Jeff Blake and Ted Moore each scored two goals. Andre Diniz led Santa Clara with four goals. The next game is scheduled for Thursday at 3:00 PM.In the first game of the day, Mindful and Total Body Rehab. Played to a tie in an exhibition game.  They opted to leave it that way.  Toby Wayman was the high scorer for Total Body Rehab. With four goals, while Peter Rizzo led Mindful with three goals. 

March 06, 05: Bud Light Wins Feb. Sunshine League - In a hard fought game, the Bud Light team defeated GTP Polo by the final score of 9 -5. The game was tied after four chukkers, but Bud Light took the lead in the fifth chukker and extended it into the sixth. Jeff Blake led all scoring with five goals. After the game, Juan Bollini was named MVP. Joey Casey's good looking grey pony was named Best Playing Pony. The fountains high score award was presented to Tommy Biddle.

In the Hartman League the Montemar Team defeated Total Body Rehab. 11-7. Andres Weisz led the Montemar team with eight goals, five of them from the penalty line.

March 05, 05: Finals of Sunshine & Hartman Leagues on Sunday - The finals of the Sunshine and the Hartman League will be played on Sunday at 3:00 PM and 1:00 PM at the Royal Palm Polo Sport Club. Both games were rained out last week. In the Sunshine League, the Bud Light team takes on the GTP Polo team, while the Montemar team takes on Total Body Rehabilitation in the finals of teh Hartman League. The $25,000 International Cup Turnament is scheduled to start on Wed.March 9th, with the finals to be played on Sunday, March 13th, '05.

Feb. 25th 05: Total Body Rehabilitation Wins In Hartman League – The Total Body Rehab. Team defeated Barrington 11-10 to earn a berth in the finals of the Feb. Hartman League.  After being behind at the half, the Total Body Rehab. Team took the lead in the fourth chukker and held it the rest of the way.  Barrington missed a chance to tie the game with a penalty four with 30 seconds left.  Tommy Biddle led Total Body Rehab. With nine goals.     

Feb. 23rd 05: Bud Light Wins In Sunshine League - In an exciting preview of the February Sunsine League finals, Bud Light defeated GTP Polo 11-7. GTP Polo received one goal by handicap and still led by one at the half, but Bud Light outscored GTP Polo 7-2 in the second half to take the win. Jeff Blake was the high scorer with seven goals. By virtue of their win/loss records, there teams will paly again on Sunday in the finals.

Friday's game between Barrington and Total Body Rehab. will decide which team plays Montemar in the Feb. Hartman League finals.

Feb. 20th 05: Total Body Rehabilitation Wins In Sunshine League - The Total Body Rehabiliation ended their February Sunshine League with a 16-13 win over Barrington. Tiger Kneece scored nine goals for Total Body Rehab. while Barb Uskup scored 5 for Barrington.

The Sunshine League finals will be played next Sunday between Bud Light and GTP.

In the Feb. Hartman League mindful defeated Montemar 8-7 in overtime. Mindful tied the score with two seconds left on the clock in the sixth chukker and won the game 2:48 into the seventh chukker. Nacho Lezica scored four goals. The finals for the Hartman league will also be played next Sunday.

Feb. 19th 05: GTP Wins In Sunsine League - The GTP team defeated the Total Body Rehab. team 14 - 7. Julio Astrada led the GTP tem with five goals. This win puts the GTP team into the February finals agains the Bud Light Team.

In the Hartman League, Total Body Rehab. defeated Mindful 11-8. Tommy Biddle led all scoring with nine goals.

Barrington Polo defeated the BBS team in a Boca Raton Invitational game. The game was tied after regulation time and was decided by a "shoot out," a new concept in polo. Barb Uskup led her team with four goals.

Feb. 13th, ’05: Bud Light & GTP Win In Sunshine League - The Bud Light Team defeated Total Body Rehab one minute and forty five seconds into OT by a score of 10-9. Jeff Blake, Hector Galindo and Joey Casey each scored three goals for Bud Light while Jack Oxley contributed one. The Total Body Rehab team was led by Tommy Biddle's five goals.

In the first Sunshine Leage game of the day, the GTP team defeated Barrington Polo 16-11. Ted Moore led GTP with six goals, while Juan Bollini contributed four.

Feb. 7th, ’05: Bud Light Wins In Sunshine League -  The bud Light team defeated Barrington Polo in the opening game f the Feb. Sunshine League.  The game was close through the first half.  Bud Light took a two goal lead in fourth chukker,  but Barrington outscored Bud Light, four to one in the fifth to lead by one goal.  Bud Light came back in the sixth chukker with three goals to secure the win with a score of 13 – 11.  Jeff Blake had an outstanding day scoring 10 goals for Bud Light. 

Montemar Wins Again in Feb. Hartman league Action – The Montemar team soundly defeated the Total Body Rehab. Team 9-3 in the Hartman League action.  Andres Wisz led the scoring with six goals while Robert Payne added three.  Montemar  now has two wins and no losses. 

In the earlier Hartman League game,  Barrington defeated Mindful by the score of 12–11.  Barrington led most of the way, but Mindful tied the score in the fifth chukker and went ahead briefly in the sixth.  Barrington came back with two goals to take the win.  Tommy Boyle was high scorer for Barrington. 

Feb. 2nd. '05: Montemar Wins in Feb. Hartman League
-he Montemar team defeated Barringtn Polo in the first game of teh February Hartman League. The game was tied going into the 5th chukker, but Montemar outscored Barrington 6-3 in the last two chukkers. Andres Weisz scored 10-goals, 6 of them from the penalty line. Antonio Galvan led the Barrington team with 5 goals.

Mindful takes on Total Body Rehabilitation on Friday in the finals of the January Hartman League. The game begins at 1:00 PM.

Jan. 30th, ’05: Total Body Rehab. Wins Jan. Sunshine League - The Total Body Rehab. team soundly defeated Mokarow Farm 17 - 13 to win the January Sunshine League. Total Body Reh. took the lead in the first chukker and never let up leading throughout the game by as much as six goals. Tommy Biddle led the Total Body Rehab. team with nine goals, and was voted MVP. Tiger Kneece's horse, Minnie Me, won Best Playing Pony.

In an Exhibition game earlier in the day, Boca Polo Def. Planet Auto 5-4. Jack Okxley and Fred Fortugno led their respective teams with three goals each. Click here to view Photos by David Lominska

Jan. 28th, ’05: Total Body Rehab. Earns Berth in Hartman Finals - The Total Body Rehab. team def. the Montemar team 13-9 to earn their place in the finals against the Mindful team. Tomy Biddle had a hot hand on this day scoring 8 goals, 5 from the penalty line. Dr. Avery Silverstein an dWill Hohnston each added two goals.

Jan. 26th, ’05: Total Body Rehab. Goes To Finals In Sunshine League – The Total Body Rehab. Team handed the GTP Polo Term their first loss and earned a berth in the Jan. Sunshine League finals in a game that ended with a score of 14 - 8. The Total Body Rehab. Team took the lead in the second chukker and never looked back.  Tommy Biddle scored 7 goals.

In the first match of the day, Barrington def. Bud Light 10-9.  The game was tied early in the sixth chukker, but with time running out, Barrington scored the winning goal. Julio Arellano and Antonio Galvan led Barrington with three goals each. 

Jan. 23, '05: Mokarow Farm wins in overtime. In the Sunsine League the Mokarow Farm team defeated Barrington in OT 15 to 14. Barrington tied the score with 43 seconds remaining in the sixth chukker. It took Mokarow Farm only 18 seconds into overtime to score the winning goal. Kris Kampsen scored 9 goals including the winning goal. Carlos Gracida scored 6 for Mokarow.

In the first Sunshine match of the day, Total Body Rehab. took the early lead and held it through the game defeating Bud Light 10-6. Tier Kneece scored 7 goals.

Jan. 21st, '05: GTP Still Undefeated in Sunshine League - The GTP team scored four goals in the sixth chukker to defeat the Mokarow Farms team 10 to 9 to remain undefeated in the Sunshine League. Mokarow Farm'sCarlos Gracida led all scoring with five goals, but Pablo Dorignac led the GTP Team with four goals.

In Friday's Hartman League action, Mindful defeated Total Body Rehab. 12 to 11. Mindful scored four unanswered goals in the fifth chukker to take the lead and held on for the win. Joey Casey led Mindful with six goals, while Tommy Biddle scored 7 goals for Total Rehab.

Jan. 16th, '05: GTP def. Bud Light (Sunshine League)- GTP scored seven goals in the fifth and sixth chukkers to defeat the Bud Light team 12-10. Bud Light took the lead in the first chukker and dheld it until the fifth when Juan Bollini put on a one man show scoring 5 goals in the fifth on his way to his 10 goal total. Jeff Blake scored 6 goals for Bud Light.

In the Hartman League, the Total Body Rehab. team defeated Barrington 10-4. Tommy Buiddle scored 6 goals for Total Body Rehab.

Jan. 14th, '05: Mokarow Farms def. Bud Light
Hartman League Game rained out and will be rescheduled.

Mokarow Farms came from behind to win their game against Bud Light in the last five seconds of play. For the second time in a week, Mokarow was behind all of the game only to come roaring back in the sixth chukker to win. Once again, 10-goaler Carlos Gracida led all scoring with 9 goals. Hector Galindo scored 5 goals for Bud Light.

Jan. 13th, '05: GTP def. Barrington 13-9. In their first Sunshine League game of the Season, GTP defeated Barrington 13 - 9. GTP jumped to the lead in the first chukker and although Barrington tied the score in the second and the fourth chukker, they weree never able to move ahead of GTP. Juan Bollini scored 6 goals for GTP while Antonio Galvan scored 5 for Barrington.

Bud Light takes on Mokarow Farm this Friday in the Sunshine League.

Jan. 9th, '05: Mokarow Farms Wins Sunshine League Game - In an exciting Sunshine League match, the Mokarow Farms team came from behind to defeat the Total Body Rehabilitation team by a score of 13 to 11. Ten Goaler, Carlos Gracida, scored 11 goals - 3 of them in the final chukker, to put Mokarow Farms ahead for the first time in the game. Tommy Biddle led Total Body Rehab. by scoring 8 goals.

In the Hartman League game the Mindful Team defeated the Montemar Team 11 to 6. Joey Casey scored 9 goals for Mindful of which 7 were scored from the penalty line.
