USPA Hires Ed Armstrong to Manage I/I Tournament Program
Lexington, Kentucky -- The United States Polo Association of Lexington,Kentucky announces the hiring of Edward J. Amstrong to serve in the newly formed position of Intercollegiate/Interscholastic Tournament Director, effective February 1, 2004. In cooperation with the Polo Training Foundation, the USPA agreed to take interscholastic/intercollegiate polo tournament duties back in-house this year to allow the PTF to focus more energy on educational and fund-raising projects. - Mr. Armstrong's background includes polo experience both as a player (arena and outdoor) and as an instructor (Harvard University polo team coach and Byfield Polo Club manager in Massachusetts). He has also provided management and consultant services domestically and internationally in the equestrian apparel industry. - David Cummings, Executive Director of the USPA, and Danny Scheraga, Executive Director of the PTF, share confidence in Mr. Armstrong's ability to "hit the ground running."
