Submission by Lynn Bremner - Sept. 5th, 2001 I met Artie two winters ago at Eldorado Polo Club. I did not know Artie very well, but he was a man I could call my friend. He always had a smile to share as well as his generous heart. I will always remember Artie as a man who lived his life the way he wanted to. Enjoying every minute of every day doing what he loved. Artie has been a local celebrity on the pages of PoloBARN many times during the past two years. I've posted a few of those pictures here to share with all of his friends. -- Lynn	The Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club is planning on having a memorial service at the Club House for friends, polo players, etc. but no date as yet. Submission by Mary Cimolino - Sept. 7th, 2001 How do I attempt to put into words a description of my fondness for Artie Cameron? Yes, there was the Artie everyone enjoyed on the polo field. If you played with him you knew his funny repetoire of commentary he said day in and day out, but the same ol' comments never failed to bring a little smile to everyone's face. Of course he was also well known for his daily routines which I found to be another endearing aspect of his make up. Artie let me in as a very close friend and I tried to be a really good friend to him. I know he truly valued our friendship. I will unfortunately have the traumatic memory of the accident forever in my mind and the terrible pain of losing a one of a kind friend. P.S. - Artie, so what's it like for you in heaven? Do all the hot chicks play naked polo, etc.??!!!!! Love, Mary
