USPA Memorial Tournament for
Sue Sally Hale and Amy Vaniver Gurak
August 30th, '03 - Bucks County, Pennsylvania
On August 30th, 2003 Greg Krug and Arby Dobb farm will be hosting a 0-2 goal USPA Memorial Tournament for Sue Sally Hale and Amy Vaniver Gurak at Tinicum Polo Club in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Sue Sally Hale was known for her driving force in women's polo. She was one of the first women to be recognized by the USPA in the early 1970's. Her zest for life was to give everyone a chance and be the best you can be. Her main objective, win or lose, was to be a good sportsman " No Whining". Sue Sally has a long history of influence from East to West.
Long before the early days of the Bucks County Polo Club, PA Sue Sally gave polo clinics and played in the Women's Challenge Cups at Brandywine Polo Club and Lancaster Polo Club. It was at Bucks County Polo Club that she met Amy Vaniver Gurak. Amy was truly taken and inspired upon meeting Sue Sally. In the years to come, through sweat equity, Amy worked her way to play. Amy acquired 3 horses to play and became an integral part of the polo community in Bucks County.
Women from the East, Central and West coast of the United States will join together on August 30th, 2:00 pm at the Tinicum Polo Club to celebrate the memory of Sue Sally and one of our own, Amy Vaniver Gurak, two fine women dedicated and inspired by the game polo.
Both Sue Sally Hale and Amy Gurak were taken from us too early in life. Greg Krug, Arby Dobb Farm and Tinicum Polo Club invite you to come out and be a part of this very special day August 30th @ 2:00 pm.
