The 3-0 Goal Road Runner Tournament kicked off the ’03 –’04 season at the Eldorado Polo Club on November 15th & 16th. There were 9 teams competing in two brackets.
Eldorado Hay (Juan Jose Gonzalez, Shane Rice, Nicolai Galindo and Carlitos Galindo) played against Empire (Al Haagen, Vicky Owens, Lolo Payan and Henry Randazo) in the Bracket A finals held on Sunday at 11:00 AM. Eldorado Hay defeated Empire 8 to 3. Eldorado Hay had a young, but well-balanced team. All of Eldorado Hay’s players scored goals during the finals match. Empire’s Lolo Payan scored all 3 goals for his team.
Saddlery Solutions (Dawn Weber, Dina/Joseph Stuart, Andy Maze, and Mehrdad Bachai) defeated Polo Dude/La Victoria (Cary Burch, Santiago Payan, Manny Rodriquez, and Bernie Diaz) 7 to 4 in the Bracket B Finals. Andy maze converted 4 penalty shots and Mehrdad Bachai scored three goals for Saddlery Solutions. Manny Rodriquez scored 1 goal and converted two penalty shots for Polo Dude who started the game with a 1 goal handicap.
