July 20th, '05: BLOOMFIELD CLAIMS CBS-6 CUP AT SARATOGA POLO
While Gene’s Cleaning/Tackeria has enjoyed much success this summer at Saratoga Polo, they could not hold off an aggressive Bloomfield in the CBS-6 Cup on Wednesday. The match, also a part of the USPA President’s Cup, went to Bloomfield with a final score of 9-6.
While Bloomfield’s Cuko Escapite is often a leading scorer at Saratoga Polo Tournaments, he was not the only Escapite to make his presence felt in the CBS-6 Cup. Cuko and cousin Ulysses Escapite had 4 markers apiece for the victors. Pelon Escapite scored all of Gene’s Cleaning/Tackeria’ 6 goals, including all three goals of the first chukker.
Will Orthwein of Bloomfield had the only non-Escapite goal of the match.
The USPA President’s Cup Continues at Saratoga Polo on Friday at 5:30pm. All matches are open to the public.
