July 27th, '05: BUCKLEIGH FARM EDGES GENE’S CLEANING TACKERIA IN PRESIDENT’S CUP AT SARATOGA POLO
Buckleigh Farm narrowly edged Gene’s Cleaning/Tackeria in USPA President’s Cup action at Saratoga Polo on Wednesday with a final score of 9-8.
It was a very tough match from start to finish, with both squads yielding little ground. The lead exchanged hands many times, but neither team was farther than two goals from the lead at any team.
Ignacio Saenz led Buckleigh Farm with 7 goals. Peter Williams and Luis Galvan scored a goal apiece for the victors.
Gene’s Cleaning/Tackeria was led by Pelon Escapite’s 4 markers. Gene Gass and Tony Coppola had a pair of tallies apiece for the runners up.
