Gene’s Cleaning/Tackeria took home the Key Bank Cup on Friday in the hard-fought opening match to The Autumn Plates, the final tournament of the Saratoga Polo season. The final score was 8-7.
Gene’s Cleaning/Tackeria was led by Pelon Escapite with 5 goals, including the game winner, scored off of a penalty shot. Juve Baez also had 2 for the victors.
Pelon’s cousin, Cuko Escapite, led Almendares/Bloomfield with 4 markers. Mario DeMendoza had 2 tallies for the runners-up and Julian Hipwood had 1.
