Virtual Polo brings polo training into the 21st century. For years we have had training videos to show us how to hit the ball and demonstrate the ideal techniques. We have practiced by standing on a chair, riding a wooden horse or running with a short mallet. However, until now we have never used the computer technology that Olympic athletes have used to see exactly what they are doing.
Thanks to Virtual Polo, you can view every aspect of your swing, down to the smallest detail. Then you can split the images on the screen and compare one swing to another or one player to another. This technology allows you to make adjustments and evaluate the benefits.
Of course hitting on a wooden horse in a cage does not duplicate the stress of playing and the movement of a real horse. So Virtual Polo has included a Mechanical Horse that responds to the rider, a ball delivery system that pitches the ball to you, and a score board that can help add the stress of competition. The horse is life size and very real in its behavior, allowing you to work on your horsemanship and your hitting platform at the same time you work on your swing technique.
