Virtual Memorial
Big "Gee"
Big Gee passed away this past
Friday afternoon. He had colon cancer and had been living with
it for the past 2 and 1/2 years, a year longer than the doctors
expected. He had really been feeling great up until the start
of October and it became obvious that his liver was failing.
Luckily he went quickly as he started a rapid downhill slide
on Monday the 11th and was gone by Friday the 16th. The end was
very peaceful and I know that he is now out of pain and in a
better place. We will miss him desperately on the sidelines in
the years to come as he always held court there. I personally
will miss my sidekick for videotaping and to just see his smile
when I get home after work. He brought much joy to my family
and my kids are very sad that he is gone but know that he is
in Heaven having a big BBQ with their Tio Alonzo and enjoying
life once again!

P.S. There will be an
informal memorial this Sunday, November 25th at 4 p.m. at the
Eldorado Clubhouse. (I'd also like to thank everyone who attended
Gee's memorial service, it was really nice! Stacey )
We plan on scheduling
another more formal one during the season her at Eldorado when
more of his friends will be here. In lieu of flowers, I am asking
that people would send a donation to the
Visiting Nurses Association Hospice Program as they were very
instrumental in making his final days comfortable and were a
wonderful support for my family.
