Eric Friden at Eldorado Polo Club in Feb. '03
|
I was a newcomer to Eldorado Polo Club last season and Eric and Kerin made me feel very welcome. It was a pleasure to have known such a warm and gracious man, who always offered an encouraging word. My heart goes out to Kerin, Phillip and Chris.
-All the best, Suzanne Bedford
I have known Eric for many years. He was a man of integrity, honesty.... his word was his bond. I hope that his family, in this time of great sadness, can find some peace in knowing that he was loved by many, many people. I am proud to have known him. I will truly miss seeing him at future Starwood meetings.
Good bless Eric Friden, he will be missed but not forgotten.

Our family wants to express our heartfelt sympathy to Kerin, Phillip and Chris as this is every polo families nightmare. We will always remember Eric's smile and his great attitude on and off the polo field. Eric was always generous with our children when they asked for pledges for their school fundraisers and he was a great supporter of the Junior polo program at Eldorado Polo Club. As we have experienced great losses in our family over the past two years, we know the shock of losing someone so loved and pray that you as a family will rely on the wonderful memories you have of Eric to help you through the toughest times. We will miss you Eric! --Carlos and Stacey Galindo
Kerin: Barbara and I and our "fun group of Denton" extend to you our prayers at this time and hope that God's hands will comfort you. We will always remember the wonderful time we had with you and Eric in New York and hope you will also. God Bless. --Fred Pole

I did not know Eric Friden well, but I am shocked and saddened by his loss. He was always very friendly and seemed like a very sincere and nice man. He will be missed in the World of Polo. My heart goes out to his wife Kerin, and his two sons Philip and Chris. --Lynn Bremner
Eric was a true friend to polo. One who loved to share his passion with others. On July 19th I was doing an event at the Santa Barbara Polo Club and went looking for my Ford Trucks sponsor. I found him on field one with Eric. Eric who had never met this man before was giving his daughter and her friend rides on one of his horses. He was having the best time taking these 10 year old girls up and down the field. You will be missed. Our prayers are with Kerin and the family. --Randy and Annie Russell
The loss of Eric has impacted Denver throughout all levels of managers and associates. Everyone respected Eric's drive and attention to details. Many associates have worked decades in efforts to reach his vision, a testament to his leadership. Eric was always quick to correct a situation and even quicker to offer praise for a job well done. His drive and passion in everything he did in life will be deeply missed.
Our loss is minuscule to the emptiness felt by family and friends. Our thoughts prayers go out to each of you.
- Sincerely Timothy H. Wolfe,
Area General Manager Denver Properties.
I played with and against Eric many times and we always had a great time. In mid-stride he could give you a compliment and then ride you off. He and Kerin were so gracious to Joanne and I. They always made you welcome at any event or fieldside.
We will miss him greatly. Our sympathies go to Kerin and the family.
-Joanne and Denny Geiler
