Thank You for 21 Years

After more than two decades, it is time to say goodbye to PoloBarn.com.

I started PoloBarn in 2000 as a place where polo players could find news, share information, buy and sell horses and equipment through our classified ads, browse our online tack and gift store, and stay connected with the polo community. Our goal was simple—to create a website built by polo players, for polo players.

Over the years, PoloBarn grew into much more than that. It became home to thousands of photographs documenting tournaments, players, clubs, and memories from across the United States and around the world. I had the privilege of photographing the sport I love for many years, and beginning in 2010 my brother, Jim Bremner, joined me behind the camera, contributing thousands of additional images to preserve the history of the sport.

In 2018, I stepped away from publishing polo news and transferred the PoloZone website to a friend who hoped to continue it. We kept PoloBarn online so everyone could continue enjoying the photo galleries, but after several more years it became clear that maintaining a website of this size was no longer practical.

A special thank you also goes to Steve Crowder, whose opinion column became a cornerstone of PoloBarn. Long before blogging became commonplace, Steve was sharing news, tournament coverage, and his unique perspective on the sport, helping make PoloBarn a destination for polo players around the world. I will always be grateful for the countless hours he devoted to the website and to the polo community.

To everyone who visited the site, advertised with us, shared your stories, purchased from our store, allowed us to photograph your tournaments, or simply stopped by to follow the sport—thank you. Your support and friendship over the years meant more than you know.

PoloBarn was always more than just a website. It was a labor of love, built by polo players for polo players, and we are grateful to have been part of this incredible community.

Thank you for 22 wonderful years.
