Aug. 27th, '02: Polo Report by Steve Crowder - A big thing to happen was John Goodman, patron of Isla Carroll, was able to watch his Horse CAME HOME win the biggest race in California, The Pacfic Classic 8 minutes before he went on to the field to try to win the P.C.O. It was quite a thrill.

Also, on the bad side, was in New York. Justin Pimsner was injured very bad in a truck and trailer accident leaving Saratoga for Aiken, South Carolina. Justin is in bad condition with broken legs and arms and he also lost some partners. At last report 5 horses were either dead or hurt badly. Update on Dorrie: Dorrie Forestman was moved to Denver where she is supposed to be doing well and was said to be able to feel things in her legs and arms which is a very good sign.

Aug. 26th, '02: Polo Report by Steve Crowder -War On The Pacific

Well the party is over for Santa Barbara and it was Windsor Capital taking the big show as the War On The Pacific had it all . . . speed thrills spills and danger. It was fun on a sunny day. Here's To A Speedy Recovery: On behalf of everyone at the Calgary Polo Club we send our love and our best wishes out to Julie Roenisch, who is now out of the hospital and in the comforts of her own home recovering from a fall she took during a polo match on Sunday July. 21st. Everyone is thinking of you Julie, and cannot wait until you are back on your feet again!!
