General Polo News . . .

Dec 17, '04: It is with great sadness that I inform you that Mr. Gonzalo Tanoira passed away this morning during a medication operation.  Gonzalo leaves behind his wife, Lucita, and their 5 children and many grandchildren.

Gonzalo has served as the AAP President for the last four years and was one of the greatest 10-goal players. He was an enthusiastic supporter of polo and on of FIP’s best friends.

Services will be held tomorrow, December 18, 2004, at 09:30 at the Pilar Memorial Cemetery. If you would like to send a message to the family please send it via email to: paula@aapolo.com Sincerely, - Glen Holden

USPA News - As of 2005, the USPA will handicap some players twice a year. Beginning in 2005, players competing in clubs offering winter polo in the months of January to April will be evaluated in May, and if changes are made they will become effective June 1. All players, from all clubs, will then be evaluated in the usual manner in October, and those changes will be effective on January 1. For more information visit the USPA Web site.

Retired Polo Horses Available For Adoption - We need to find them homes before Dec. 19th, so time is running out. They are all polo horses, most of them retired. Some would only be good as broodmares. Some would be nice trail horses (we would like some money for these, so make us an offer). A few would be great for a college arena program or experienced player (We would like some money for these as well). Click here to view photos. Make us an offer and we will make you a great deal. Contact Steve Crowder at 805-896-4406 or scrowder@poloconnect.com
